mind blind, by James Spary

a leaf opaque to any sky
watered pebbles mossed in rest;
suns fume - a hearless dusk.

Be a part - here: float
in the cedar smell of rain -
gear your smile: taut, arched -
bee rangled clover heads,
springing - a fleeting
fascination...

too much - again, an
all spills into
nothing.

blank.
adrift.
colour can't know what you
won't see.

splatter it - some unstuck clouds,
spineless trunks seep to the sea
rising up in airy,
sunken peaks.

mindless focus-
one moment stunts the next.
